The Ticino Gin Bisbino, which is bio-certified, is flavored with secret botanicals. These come from the Ticino Valle di Muggio.
The Monto Bisbino is the mountain from which this gin takes its name. Its character, structure and history are inspired by this mountain. In the paths and forests on which Martino Mombelli developed the secret recipe, Damiano Merzari, Giona Meyer and Rupen Nacaroglu met to grapple with and conceive a dream: It was about the production of the first gin from Ticino.
Many herbs, inflorescences and berries are included in the recipe for the Gin Bisbino. They are grown organically with care and conviction in the splendid historical gardens of Sagno. There is a wonderful terrace from which you can see the Mendrisiotto and Lombardy, which is very close. In the gardens of Sagno, the ingredients mentioned get plenty of sun. The place is ideal for cultivating valuable botanicals, which has a positive effect on the taste of Gin Bisbino.
This gin is distilled in the Jelmini distillery in Mendrisio. This is one of the most famous distilleries in Ticino. It was important to the founders that everything from growing the plants and fruits to distilling remains in the region.
