Countless legends and stories surround the legendary Bündner Röteli. While some have disappeared over time, the New Year's custom is still practiced in many places today: On the night of January 1st, the unmarried men of the village ring in the New Year with church bells and then go from farm to farm to convey their New Year wishes. As a thank you, the young boys receive a glass of their own cherry liqueur in addition to homemade pear bread. The further the single men move, the more beautiful the farmer's daughters become - and quite a few love stories start with a glass of Röteli that night.

Patrick Christoffel also remembered the aphrodisiac effects of the traditional love potion shortly after he was introduced to the 100-year-old family recipe by his father René. Without further ado, he surprised his beloved Nadja on the first date with his first, homemade Röteli. And it happened as it had to: the pretty girl from the Unterland couldn't resist the sweet present and the two kissed that same evening. The beginning of a great love - and the hour of birth of Christoffel Rötali.

The handmade Bündner Premium Röteli with an alcohol content of 23% vol is served in a shapely, transparent 50cl bottle, through which the characteristic, golden-red color comes into its own. The Davos cherry liqueur: an indispensable gem for every well-stocked bar.

Thanks to its special depth and structure, the Christoffel Ur-Rötali can be enjoyed wonderfully pure. Its unmistakably full-bodied aroma and elegant fruity taste unfold best at room temperature in a large red wine glass - pure or 'on the rocks' with an ice cube and a decorative orange slice.

The fruity premium liqueur cuts a great figure both as an aperitif and with food. We recommend our Davos Röteli as a companion to a hearty Bündner platter or as an aromatic highlight to a fine dessert.

Each bottle is a hand-made one-off that is signed and numbered. The production takes place in the small-batch process and is therefore very limited.
