Entlebucher Gin made from 27 botanicals distilled in a copper pot
With a total of 27 processed botanicals, the Edelwhite 57 Gin captures the aromas of Lucerne's Entlebuch. Handcrafted and distilled in a copper pot, this Navy-Strength gin comes into the glass with an incomparable complexity and surprising mildness. With this distillate, aromas of juniper, coriander and citrus fruits are in the foreground.
The Edelwhite 57 gets its complex aroma structure from the total of 27 botanicals used in this distillate. Of these, 14 are collected locally in the fields, mountains, meadows and in moors in the Entlebuch region, thus making it possible to fully capture the taste of the region. The remaining botanicals are obtained from the “Entlebucher Herbs Cooperative”, which uses the highest quality standards and buys the botanicals from local farmers. The botanicals used include the famous Edelweiss, an herb that embodies the lifestyle in the Swiss Alps. All ingredients are then distilled by hand in a copper pot. The Edelwhite 57 is then filled into the minimalist-appealing bottle with 57% alcohol volume. In the nose, the juniper band shows itself initially with strong, spicy juniper, as well as notes of citrus fruits and coriander. There is also a subtle alcoholic note. On the palate, juniper continues to dominate, but is now complemented by stronger floral aromas. The coriander also shows up after a short time. Despite the comparatively high alcohol content, there is hardly any alcoholic burn when you enjoy this gin.
