Bar syrup for preparing drinks and virgin cocktails.
Oranges and other ingredients give the Giffard Blue Curaçao syrup color and flavor. It is ideal for preparing refreshing drinks and virgin cocktails.
The French company Giffard has built a considerable empire for itself with its classic, diverse and unusual syrups and liqueurs.
It all started at the end of the 19th century with the famous Menthe pastille. Today, local specialist dealers can be found in 70 countries serving the restaurants, bars, coffee shops and delicatessen shops on site.
The deep blue Curaçao syrup is a pure sugar syrup without preservatives, which has been refined with orange extracts. Blue Curaçao was originally made from a bitter orange subspecies that developed from overgrown orange trees on the Caribbean island of Curaçao. However, ordinary, sweet-tasting oranges and bitter oranges are now also used for flavoring.
The blue color comes from special dyes. In the late 20th century, it gave bartenders the opportunity to offer brightly colored, colorful cocktail creations for the first time.
This blue curacao syrup has a flavoring and coloring effect. It is used exactly where the liqueur is ineffective. Lovers of Virgin Cocktails in particular will be delighted to be able to offer non-alcoholic versions of classics such as swimming pool, Blue Hawaii, Electric Blue, Blue Lagoon and other combinations. In connection with lemonades, fruit juices, water or other syrups, wonderfully refreshing drinks are also made.
