Traditional absinthe made in Val-de-Travers
The only master distiller in Switzerland, Gaudentia Personz, produces the Absinthe Green Velvet Val.275 La Bleu. In Val-de-Travers she distills an absinthe made from regionally obtained herbs and pure spring water that meets the highest standards. Herbal notes with an earthy finish make this absinthe with 48% vol., Both pure and mixed, an exclusive pleasure.
Absinthe Green Velvet was created in Couvet, a small village in the Jura, in a magical valley called Val-de-Travers as early as the 18th century. Surrounded by the magical mountains of the Jura, many high-quality and tasty herbs grow in this area. Clear springs and rivers run like lifelines through the almost magical landscape. Here, on the border between Switzerland and France, is the home of Green Velvet Absinthe.
According to traditional methods and a well-guarded family recipe, this noble spirit has been distilled since 1898. Since then, the producing distillery has traditionally been located in the green Val-de-Travers valley in Switzerland. A lot of experience and a tried and tested process are used: After all the vegetable ingredients have been picked and sorted by hand, they are macerated in cold neutral alcohol for twelve hours. This protects the natural aromas. This is followed by the eight-hour distillation. This artisanal approach, passed on over the years, and the regional ingredients create a first-class absinthe.
