Bernese whiskey with a smoky-malty aroma stored in Châteauneuf-du-Pape barrels
The Langatun Old Bear Whiskey Smoky impresses not only with its appealing bottle design and high-quality packaging, but above all with its smoky-malty aroma and its velvety feel. After the distillation, this Swiss spirit is allowed to mature in old Châteauneuf-du-Pape barrels, which gives it its complex and exciting aroma.
The Langatun distillery was founded in 1860 by master brewer and distiller Jakob Bamberger in Langenthal in the canton of Bern and is now home to numerous spirits that are particularly popular with connoisseurs. The Langatun Old Bear Whiskey Smoky is distilled three times from smoked barley malt and is allowed to rest in old and extremely aromatic Châteauneuf-du-Pape barrels after its production. This storage gives the whiskey its spicy, malty taste, which is elegantly combined with exciting fruit aromas.
As soon as the noble distillate is poured into the glass, notes of wood and smoke unfold, which continue to intensify when swirling. A strong, spicy malt note, paired with aromas of dried tropical fruits, dominates the palate. These aromas are retained even in the long and pleasant finish. The lack of alcoholic distillation is particularly positive, which makes this spirit an excellent choice for pure enjoyment "on the rocks". Thanks to the high-quality packaging, this distillate is a wonderful gift idea for both whiskey connoisseurs and beginners.
