Nunci Negre, Priory DOQ - 75cl
This Nunci Negre from the Celler Mas les Pereres winery in Poboleda, Catalonia, is organically grown. The ripe red wine can be stored for up to 12 years and shines with a bouquet of ripe fruits, fine spice and vanilla notes.
The red wine was made from 55% Garanacha, 30% Syrah and 15% Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. The result is a noble drop that already impresses with its black-red color. Ripe, black and red fruits determine the bouquet, which is complemented by light notes of spices and vanilla. Full on the palate and with a long finish, the organic quality Nunci Negre goes well with typical specialties from Spain: with spicy game dishes, specialties from the Roman pot, grilled meats and cheese.
Founded in 2000 by the Belgian winemaker Dirk Hoet, the Celler Mas les Pereres winery is located not far from Tarragona in Poboleda, a small Catalan community in the prestigious D.O.C. Priory is located. The priory in the middle of the Serra de Montsant is one of the oldest wine-growing areas in Spain. The high-yielding Llicorella slate soil, the warm climate and, last but not least, the selection of grape varieties all contribute to the fact that the Nunci Negre will convince you with its excellent quality - salud!
