Primitivo di Manduria DOC - 75cl
Typical Apulia: spoiled by the sun of southern Italy, this Primitivo di Manduria, made from 100% Primitivo grapes, from the Tenute Rubino winery in Brindisi, matures into a first-class red wine. Strong berry notes are harmoniously complemented by tobacco and cinnamon aromas. The wine, which is ready to drink after 3 years, can be stored for up to 8 years.
The Primitivo grape variety originally comes from Croatia and is mainly cultivated in southern Italy. The wines develop their characteristic spicy, intensely fruity aroma. The most famous growing areas include Manduria in Apulia. The coveted DOC seal "Primitivo di Manduria" stands for wines of first class quality. Due to the warm climate, the grapes ripen very quickly in Apulia - a guarantee for the exquisite Primitivo wine.
This red wine is characterized by its dark red color, permeated with reflections, and its ethereal fragrance. Aromas of plums, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, rum pot, cinnamon, tobacco and sweet tannins combine ripe, full-bodied and powerful on the palate. The finish is warm, long-lasting and has an elegant fruity sweetness.
Enjoy the aromatic red wine with typical Italian dishes such as tuna with mint, roulades in tomato sauce, venison ragout with bucatini and the many delicious cheese specialties - salute!
