Eastern Swiss whiskey from the Bourbon barrel.

This single malt whiskey from the Säntisblick distillery is matured in an American bourbon barrel for at least 3 years after Rheintaler Ribelmais and barley are mashed, fermented and distilled together in a careful process. The resulting whiskey gets its popular, typical fruity-sweet bourbon taste, accompanied by its typical, gentle vanilla aromas of the American white oak. A smooth, surprising, full-bodied whiskey.

The Säntisblick distillery, which actually arose out of a whim of nature, because the producer Bruno Eschmann was working on a wonderful Vieille Prune in his orchard with plums bursting with rain, which was promptly awarded, has been producing his whiskey since 2009 the Säntisblick distillery began with its first attempts, was professionalized from 2011 with its own distillery. Whiskeys made from different types of grain were distilled and matured in different barrels. That is why the Säntisblick distillery offers a wide range of single malts and whiskeys made from regional barley malt and corn. In 2017 the own barrel cellar was put into operation, where the whiskeys are stored in both selected port wine barrels and in their own Vieille Prune barrels. Since 2019, our own rye has been grown and distilled for the whiskey for the first time, which also contributes to the fact that the Säntisblick distillery run by Bruno and Monika Eschmann is now an insider tip in the Alpine whiskey scene.
