The spicy, multi-award-winning rum with 12 years of maturation.
The Jamaica rum, which has a typically spicy aroma, has received two awards. His bottle label is artistically designed.
The name of Maund (Jamaica) rum, which was named by "The Wild Alps", a Swiss brand, has its origins in the passionate hunter and alpinist Oakley Maund, who became famous in the Montblanc massif through his ascents. In the Voralberg in Schoppernau and on Lake Lucerne in Weggis, he had three villas built according to the plans of the architect William Morris.
To this day, the houses are in the classic English cottage style. However, the Villa Maund became extremely well known, about which there are many legends. The house was used as a hunting lodge by the German Crown Prince Wilhelm for some time. Many famous people came and went here.
The Villa Maund was ultimately the inspiration for the "The Wild Alps" creations. This is also evidenced by the artistic bottle label of the rum, which is based on the architect's velvet prints. The two-time award-winning Jamaica rum was allowed to mature for twelve years to develop its typical taste.
When the bottle is opened, you can smell raisins, toasted aromas, wood and even caramel. The aroma is very spicy to a little peppery. It reminds you a bit of dried fruits and roasted coffee.
